Two young women travel by car and tent through East Germany, Poland, U.S.S.R., Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and Albania in 1969. This included flying to Baku, Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand. The photos are from colour slides which have been scanned, the text from diaries, letters and memory.
