Theese fotos predate the tourist boom and try to give an impression of the incredible skills and projects of local crafts persons in maintaining and building of new mud brick houses. Most images concentrate on the 'largest' mud-building in the world, the Grand Mosque.

Borne in Germany, he now lives in Ireland. In the early nineteen sixties Michael began documenting his world on [grainy] b&w film. In his photos he records people, events and sites of interest to him. He worked in Belgium, Bolivia, Canada, Greece, Germany, Italy, Indonesia, Ireland, Mali, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Peru and Spain. In 2004 photography became a more important part of his life. He has since shown his work inter-nationally in Germany, Belgium, Italy and Ireland.
