B.R. Forbes has captured this vibrancy in photographs in the years 2000 though 2013. He has been actively engaged in many organizations and events including the St. Andrew's Society of Washington, D.C.; Clans of Scotland USA; National Tartan Day; WhiskyDC; Virginia Scottish Games and Festival; and the Alexandria Scottish Heritage Fair.

(two-term president); National Tartan Day; WhiskyDC (convener); Virginia Scottish Games and Festival; and the Alexandria Scottish Heritage Fair. He currently serves as the President of the Clan Forbes Society.
