Acerca del libro
This is the third updated edition of this book - the first in 2009 - on my flying experiences that I had from taking pictures from the air of crop dusters as a teenager - negatives not saved - to my first jet plane ride as a Stars & Stripes Newspaper U.S. Army news photographer in Korea in 1960-61. Some mini-adventures over more than 24 years, where one - a vertical jet fighter - the picture taken over Northern California in 1984 while I was doing a picture story on McClellan A.F.B. test pilots, the image conceived in my mind in 1960. Then a helicopter ride over Alaska to get to some sled dogs on a glacier. I must have had more that 300 hours in Korea VIP junkets over my 16 months there. All these pictures in the S&S library files. To date 3 of my pictures have come out in their blog these past years. So the flying pictures here vary, balloon ride(s), the Red Baron Pizza bi-planes, etc.

Clayton, CA,
I was a news photographer and picture editor for seven newspapers, and member of the National Press Photographers Assc. since 1956. A Life Member of the San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association, after being the Picture Editor at The Sacramento (CA) Union (1968-89), New York Newsday (1989-94), and Contra Costa Times (1994-96) when I retired after 40-years in the newspaper business - starting as a shooter since 1956. I'm retired but still shoot and actively travel today for my own interest. The assorted blurb.com books have turned out to be a way to gather many of my images for nice and simple presentations.
