Acerca del libro
The Aleutian Islands arc west into the chilly fog of the Bering Sea, providing nesting places in the cliffs for thousands of sea birds and haul-outs where seals give birth and mate. North of them the Pribiloffs and other rarely visited islands stretch toward the Bering Straits. These photographs illustrate the rich wildlife of "outer Alaska" as well as the settlements that are essential to America's fishing industry, with their history of Russian and Eskimo descendants.
