This is a collection of photographs of the birth of our daughter, Ruby. They were taken by our friend Koren Albright, who spent almost the entire day with us, documenting the birth story from start to finish.



Ruby was born at home, August 6, 2008, at 4:16 p.m. Labor started in the morning and, after taking an early afternoon nap, we started calling the team, all of whom arrived by 2:30 p.m.. The photographs show how we spent the next five hours. After rejoicing and celebrating, we said goodbye to the team, and were able to settle in for the night.



This was our fifth birth and third home birth. All have gone wonderfully, and all our babies have been healthy and beautiful. We have been so blessed and are so grateful. Thanks to all who have participated and given us such wonderful memories!
