A convoy of 12 cars with 40 participants embarked on this epic Four Wheel-Drive overland adventure covering around 9,000km from 10 Nov to 5 Dec 2012. It was a round trip from Butterworth, Malaysia to Thailand, Laos, Yunnan (China) and Vietnam.



The authors considered themselves fortunate enough to be embraced by this big family during these 26 days. They are thankful for the opportunities to shoot and document this rugged, demanding journey to some places so remote but of unparallelled beauty and rich in history. All photographs in this book were taken on this epic journey of the road less travelled.



This trip was an eye-opener for many on this adventure including the authors of this book. They hope that this book will allow all participants to remember this beautiful journey in the years ahead and inspire others who are contemplating similar travels.
