Huwarra Watercolors is a book of poetry, photographs, and paintings that cover four different trips that I took to Palestine - a place of great beauty, hospitality, and military occupation. Huwarra Watercolors describes my experience of leaving home, entering Palestine, and returning home to a world that had a very different view of my support for the Palestinian people.

Second Edition – 2022 Community Road Publishing Preface to Second Edition Huwarra Watercolors was originally published after my 2009 trip to Palestine when I stayed in Huwarra and nworked with Addameer Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association. The poetry describes that trip and many others. Over ten years later, conditions for the Palestinians have only worsened and the world’s longest military occupation continues. Palestinians remain steadfast and resist the destruction of their homeland. I can only hope republishing my book will help inspire the next generation of Palestine activists.
