The author is an artist and has strived to represent castles and abbeys from England, Croatia and France in unique and beautiful photographs.

The book has 50 pages of mainly black and white photographs, with some sepia and colour photos too.

Castles and Abbeys featured in this book include Dubrovnik, Fougeres, Vitre, Camber, Deal, Dover, Battle, Hadleigh, Bolton, Reculver, Walmer and Mont St. Michel.
