This is the small square (17.5 cm) edition of Mallerstang in Mono, a collection of black and white photographs of some less well known places in the headwaters of the River Eden, Cumbria, and the water of the river itself and its tributaries. All profits from this book go to St. Mary's Mallerstang.

Keith Beven has been taking photographs of water for more than 30 years, struggling with the problem of capturing such a dynamic quantity in a still image. For the last decade he has been a resident of the Mallerstang Valley in Cumbria with the result that Mallerstang and the River Eden have become the focus of his photography.
