Acerca del libro
The notion of "Car Stalking" forms the basis for the work contained in this book. Car stalking is the name given to the style of automotive photography oontained herein, because the shots seek to emphasize the context and place of the car, as well as the auto itself. This practice has, over time, led the photographer to "stalk" exotic and powerful cars through the streets and parking lots of Metro Detroit.
The inspiration for this work came from the photographer's own experiences as a child walking through Metro Detroit. These images sought to capture that same sense of wonder, elation and even intimidation that the photographer felt as a child--rounding a corner to see something sleek, curvy, and metallic fill his view. Capturing that feeling of the "first glimpse" at a classic or exotic car is the core goal of this work.
