The author was born in Australia in 1958. He was formally educated in Bendigo, Central Victoria Australia. Upon leaving his schooling, he proceeded to further his education in the trades through a number of training providers, manufacturers, suppliers and life experiences. Always keeping an involvement in the community, The author has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Mornington Peninsula Shire as a member of the Martha Cove Community Reference Group to Council. Operating and owning locksmithing and security businesses for over twenty six years, the author took up positions, such as trade teacher and technical security advisor in a number of different roles.
