Acerca del libro
The Kidd is located at the Historic Warship & Veterans Museum in Baton Rouge on the Mississippi River. Every year in October a group of veterans attend a reunion and they swab the decks, polish the brass, and make repairs to keep the Kidd in tip top condition. The ship is now a museum and open for tours. The guys who work on the ship every year keep it in condition so others may tour it and get a taste of history and what it was like during WWII. Some of the veterans that attend the reunion actually served on the USS Kidd.
This book includes pictures of areas not open to the public. In 2009 I visited the ship with Dan Katze and George Seal, who drove up from Georgia to give me a special tour. This book includes photos from my tour in 2009 and photos taken by Dan Katze from the 2011 reunion.
