Photographs of the nature and landscapes of Southwestern British Columbia, captured during my early years of learning about photography and becoming a semi-professional. The book has four galleries, Valley (The Fraser Valley), Shore (seaside), Mountain, and Beyond (landscapes just east of Southwestern BC). Each photo is accompanied by background text.

I have been having my photographs published regularly since 1994, first in North America and later in Japan and the U.K. as well. Since 2005 I have been writing articles to go with my photographs. From the beginning I have been interested in landscape photography and more recently in mountain photography. Now based in Japan, I spend most of my photographic outings in the mountains of central Honshu or shooting local landscapes. Until 2012, I continued to shoot with film and always travelled with at least two cameras - a 35mm and a medium or large format camera as well. Though I still prefer the look of film over digital, for economic reasons I shoot almost exclusively in digital these days. As I have also appeared on some travel documentaries in Japan in recent years, shooting in digital has been the practical and preferred way.
