Acerca del libro
The true story of a restless, forty-one-year-old outsider on a quest for adventure, truth and a reason to live. This is not the story of a mid-life crisis. It is my last gasp. During an epic two-year exploration of thirty-one countries, I experienced many firsts in my life. However, not even an earthquake, guns fired in anger, a Peruvian pickpocket, or a police shakedown in Rio could overshadow my first romantic encounters. Though my very first girlfriend asked me to stay on her Caribbean island and give up my foolish dreams, my journey had just begun. I didn't know then, but true love was waiting for me further down the road. Turn the pages and follow my footsteps across seven Latin American countries via my photographs and insightful notes that reveal painful truths and a naïve personal perspective.

No matter how I earned a living I always loved photography more than anything. My eyes are naturally drawn to light and shadows. Though I am more drawn to nature and architecture I have recently turned my camera on the people of other lands. During my two-year journey across Latin America and Eastern Europe I survived an earthquake, a police shakedown in Rio, many broken hearts, a mugging, and an overturned raft in Ecuador white water. I also fell in love!
