Karen Nichols is a San Francisco Bay Area artist whose work marries her passion for painting, illustration and photography. She specializes in alternative processes (including Polaroid image and emulsion transfers and SX-70 manipulations), panoramas, macros and Lomography. Her work has appeared in publications and galleries worldwide, including the book "Alternative Photography: Art and Artists" published in 2007.
