Acerca del libro
LINEAGE: Matchmaking in the Archive is a framework for interaction with the historical collections housed at the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Historical Society. As Artist in Residence, E.G. Crichton has developed a process of matching diverse individuals to specific archives, asking each person to invent a response. The resulting exhibitions, community engagements, public presentations and writing activate forms of lineage generally invisible to the culture at large. In Wandering Archives, individuals and archives are matched across national borders; archives have so far become guest immigrants in Evora, Portugal, Melbourne, Australia and Manila, Philippines.
