Acerca del libro
Rengay is a haiku-based form of linked verse created by Garry Gay nearly 20 years ago. Since its relatively recent inception, the popularity of rengay has quickly spread so that now it is written and published all over the world. This book, The Unlocked Gate, presents 24 rengay selected from 60 rengay written by Garry Gay and John Thompson over the past two decades. Each rengay explores a theme from both poets' shifting and linking points of view. If you enjoy haiku, this book may interest you since each rengay is essentially six linked haiku that form a poetic dialogue. The book also features an ample serving of the stunning and sensitive photography of Mr. Gay, matching each rengay with an equally expressive and impressive photograph. This is a seminal work in the new field of rengay, whose pages are a delight to browse though and whose depth-sounding poetry is a treasure to ponder.
