Acerca del libro
In October 2007, Matthew Boulton realised a long-nutured dream of visiting Japan.
His photos (published under the Flickr alias Mafue) are printed here alongside his notes on the various places he visited on his travels.
From ultra-modern Toyko to the ancient temples of Nara and Kyoto, the fortress of Himeji-jo and the end of the (JR) line at Fukuoka, Mafue tries not to miss a thing as the culinary, historical and cultural delights of Japan are laid out before him. Marvel! as he avoids wild boar; Hope! as he searches for Fuji-san in ever-worsening visibility; Mock! as he gets by with a handful of Japanese phrases; Salivate! as he devours all manner of sea creatures, not to mention the most expensive beef on the planet.
