Playing in Traffic is a photo essay which journals an 8-year experience on the road as a truck driver. Also explored are sub-themes such as road safety, creativity, approaching life as an artist, doing the best you can with what you have, and career choices.

The book begins by looking at life on the road and exploring some unique experiences professional drivers face, but through image progression explores
work and life as an artist in whatever career you have chosen.
