Acerca del creador
Mary Ellen McCourt has been a photographer for nearly 3o years. For the past 15 years she has also been a graphic artist and book designer. Mary Ellen's work is deeply influenced by her study and practice of Tibetan Bon Buddhism which emphasizes the healing potential of pure awareness in every moment of our lives. For Mary Ellen, still photography is the medium for revealing the quiet beauty and radiance in each passing moment. She hopes that her books will give viewers the opportunity to go deeper into the experience of each image at their own rhythm and pace. These are the first of many books Mary Ellen plans to offer that will reflect her recent pilgrimages to Tibet and Kathmandu as well as her life in the beautiful Hudson River Valley in New York.
