Tor Eigeland’s adventurous trip at age 16 was just the start of a life long addiction to exotic travel which continues to this day. His time as a deckhand on board the M/V Tricolor of the Norwegian Wilhelm Wilhelmsen shipping line took him from his home in Oslo to distant Shanghai and back in 1947.
