The work of Vincentian artist Robert Joyette is the first in the SFI Book Series of Contemporary Caribbean Art. Joyette’s influences span a wide range of master painters and it is in this collection that one sees the blossoming of Joyette’s distinctive style. There are 28 pieces in this collection.
Meet the Artist:
Robert Joyette is a Vincentian by birth and a graduate of the Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts in Jamaica. His ambition to become an artist was formed at the tender age of seven and he has pursued nothing else. Joyette has exhibited widely in Jamaica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and he has participated in exhibitions in Guyana and Stony Brook University in New York City.
