Barra de Potosi is a birdwatching paradise. Located between the Pacific Ocean and a mangrove lagoon, it is home to thousands of birds.

The first part of this book is a collection of photographs of some of the birds of the area.

The second part of the book tells about the UAM research project to study the birds of the ecosystem.
