Acerca del libro
This book features 40 of David Lavelle’s best photographs, and all profits – 40% of the cover price – will be donated to Hurstwood Park League of Friends.
On 17 March 2007 David suffered a type of stroke called a subarachnoid haemorrhage, when an aneurysm burst in his brain. He spent a month in Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, undergoing an operation via cerebral angiography to block the aneurysm with small metal coils. This procedure, carried out by a Radiologist with a very steady hand, saved David’s life. In the years following his illness he restarted his photography hobby, exhibiting on several occasions, and self-publishing two photography books which can be ordered through his website davidlavelle.co.uk
If you want to find out more about the remarkable people who work at the Centre and how you can support them and their patients, please visit the League of Friends’ website: hurstwoodparkleagueoffriends.org.uk
