I get to know a city through photography. When I travel, I prefer to remember my trip through photography. Photos provides more than a journalistic record. They become the record of the mood and feeling inspired by the atmosphere and rhythm of a place.

Tokyo, Japan

I grew up in Calgary, Alberta and currently live in Tokyo. I graduated with degrees in English Lit and Education but always wrote and drew in my free time. My lecture notes had more sketches than writing. I enjoy teaching but always got itchy fingers when the students got to do something creative. I realized that creating my own work was what I really needed to do. I began my journey into photography in 2000.
