The author is a photographer and writer who lived in southern Africa for 25 years. After receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rhodes University, majoring in Zoology and Entomology, he worked as a Field Entomologist in the Tsetse Fly Control Division of the Rhodesian Government Dept of Veterinary Services.
