Acerca del libro
A silly, alliterative book about all different breeds of dogs! Written and illustrated by Karen Morrow's First Graders during a week-long Artist In Residence program with children's book author & illustrator, Dar Hosta.
First graders in this program met with Dar four times to exactly mimic her process of book creation. Through a series of workshops, each child participated in an informative assembly presentation, the painting of collage papers, a writer's workshop of either alliterative sentences or rhyming couplets, and a collage workshop to illustrate their writing. Through collaboration, each class made a BOOK!

Dar is a painter of trees and circles, a writer and illustrator of children's picture books, a designer, a teacher of both children and adults, a speaker on creativity and education and a creativity coach. The books here on Blurb represent her work as a certified educator and visiting author and illustrator. During artist-in-residence programs, children work with her to write and illustrate collaborative picture books in the style of her books. They use alliteration and rhyme for the writing and the technique of collage for the illustrations. Information on her educational programs can be found at www.darsworld.com.
