Acerca del libro
The term Readymade in the title refers to everyday object that are not normally considered art, often because they have a non-art function, that have been designated as art by an artist. Marcel Duchamp was the originator of this in the early 20th century. Roadside in the title refers to the basis of this work in travel, sometimes on trips specifically to photograph, other times as a by product of recreational travel.
My photos from the road present a collection of "found sculpture along the roadside." It is a quaint and romantic notion that just pointing at some nondescript object makes ART. My primary concern, however, could better be described as an attempt to make a few interesting photographs than making ART.
