Acerca del libro
Butterflies are some of God’s most wonderful creations, exquisite beyond description. There are many different species, colors and sizes. Butterflies are truly amazing and awe-inspiring to watch flying or just feeding on a flower. Even more fantastic is watching the entire life cycle of the butterfly.
I cannot even come close to recording a butterflies true magnificence and beauty nor am I able to describe it in words. I thank God for giving us butterflies as life would not be nearly as good without them. Mankind needs to do its very best to preserve existing butterfly populations for future generations, and curtail activities that threaten their existence.
Butterflies fly most days of the year in Texas. However, I have found some months have larger populations than other months. April, May, June, through summer and up to mid-November seem to be good months to photograph butterflies. Depending on the location, amount and timing of rain fall, warm weather and wildflowers, butterflies can be more numerous. Spring time is usually great with abundant wildflowers, while October and November can present an unforgettable experience photographing butterflies. There are few wildflowers present in October and November and any butterflies near are drawn to these last feeding possibilities on warm sunny days. You can stay near a few flowers and find more than enough photographic opportunities.
