Acerca del libro
If this was already an unprecedented achievement, the further development of the Cambodian dance scene is remarkable. Western influence aroused interest in contemporary dance. Since the turn of the millennium, the non-classical dance scene has developed step by step successfully. Foreign choreographers joined courageous young Cambodians from the classical segment. Their contemporary dance embraces innovation and combines different techniques. Especially in Khmer contemporary dance, the origin and the determining influence of Khmer classical dance / the Royal Ballet is unmistakable!
Typical gestures and movements of Khmer classical dance are incorporated into almost all sequences, together with the great creativity of the dancers, they give this contemporary dance something unique.
