Foothills is an ongoing photographic project examining the light and terrain of the front ranges of the San Gabriel Mountains in Southern California. For over ten years John Gough has photographed this transitional area between the edge of the suburbs of Los Angeles and the rugged mountains which form the LA basin's northern boundary.
