Mary Horlander was born and raised in the city of Indianapolis, IN, where she first discovered her flair for the chaotic and dramatic. A bit of a wanderer, Mary has moved around quite a bit in her short life, but a few things remain consistent: her curiously in-depth knowledge of certain children’s cartoons, her commitment to Highland cows, and her dedication to her friendships and living a meaningful life. She currently lives in Bismarck, ND. Portrait of a Searching Soul is Mary’s first book, created as a self-portrait and an ode to the journey of becoming a young adult and the growing pains of finding yourself along the way.
