Arizona offers a myriad of recreational activities. Fishing, hiking, horseback riding are all very popular. However, birding, art, and photography are high on the list. I love to photograph Arizona and photographing birds is something I really enjoy. Arizona is one of the top birding states. It not only has a large number of bird species present but Arizona offers birders and photographers lots of freedom that most other states don’t have. Arizona state land, state parks, national parks, national forests, picnic areas, lakes, rivers and mountains offer accessibility and opportunity that is almost unmatched. The variety of climate from extreme desert to high mountains, and Arizona’s proximity to Mexico, contribute to the variety of bird species.
