Acerca del libro
A historical perspective on the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Royal Military College of Canada, including its academic programs, staff and students.
This book describes the history of Mechanical Engineering and its offshoots, Engineering and Management and Aeronautical Engineering, at the College. It also describes the development of technology, engineering and engineering education in Canada more broadly.
Each chapter provides a resumé of significant international and Canadian political events, developments in the Canadian Forces, and advances in technology that occurred in the era concerned. The chapters then explain how the department and its programs evolved, as influenced by those contexts.
The book includes all the annual class photographs of the graduates in all three disciplines, from 1952 to 2018. It also includes photos and information about the professors (1876-2018), and technicians and departmental administrative staff (1952-2018).
