For over a decade, I have primarily used antique & vintage images and ephemera in my art work. As an avid, lifelong collector of stuff, I now feel like a historian or librarian of valuable papers and findings from the past. As an artist, I feel I am entrusted to bring old ephemera, etchings, and papers back to life in a new expressive way or keep them safe for the future. A distinguishing factor in all my art work is that I use authentic images, not copies or reprints. I believe that if the fragile ephemera and papers have survived for over 50 years or more, they deserve to live longer; not languishing between pages in a dusty book or forgotten on a dark closet shelf. I am definitely a cut & paste collage artist reshaping found materials into new narratives.
