Strange Sanctuary is the 2nd volume in a retrospective series. This book is a documentation of Bill Iles' diverse artworks from 1977 through 1988 – a span of time that corresponds with Iles' early employment in the Visual Arts Department at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA and subsequent promotion to department head a few years later. It is the second volume of a multi-book retrospective series, documenting his drawings, paintings, printmaking, assemblages, and mixed media pieces.
