Acerca del libro
Louisiana debutante Laura Lynn Beauford has it all: wealth, prestige, and the promise of a bright future married to millionaire Brian Buchanan. But in the glittering world of 1970s New Orleans, a shocking murder during Mardi Gras unravels everything. Wrongfully accused and imprisoned, Laura Lynn faces a desperate fight to clear her name and save the life of her unborn child—all while the real killer roams free.
Her only hope lies in her father, Larry Beauford, a decorated war hero and respected small-town mayor. Driven by love and haunted by the need for justice, Larry dives headfirst into a web of dark secrets, family betrayals, and powerful enemies. From the backrooms of Louisiana’s high society to covert dealings in the Middle East and Russia, Larry uncovers layers of deception that threaten not only his daughter’s life but his own.
As Laura Lynn’s time runs out, The Buchanan Bastard races toward a breathtaking conclusion that will leave readers questioning who they can trust and the lengths they’d go to protect the ones they love. A suspenseful tale of family loyalty, betrayal, and survival, The Buchanan Bastard was named RAK Book Club’s Book of the Year 2022.
