Acerca del libro
Jaimie Isaac is a curator and interdisciplinary artist based in Canada. In 2021, she was appointed Chief Curator at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, having previously served for several years as the Indigenous and Contemporary Arts curator at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. She is a member of the Sagkeeng First Nation in Treaty 1 Territory, and of mixed European ancestry.
The 13th Annual International Juried Exhibition explores notions of sovereignty and liberation in political, social, and cultural contexts. A wide range of possibilities are broadly encountered and examined. The artists grapple with and respond to both histories and the present moment with individual perceptions of the world, seeking to define the spirit of the times.
