Acerca del libro
Seattle, Washington: summer of 2021. It’s all been too much for Ruth. In one year, she’s had to deal with a pandemic, turbulent politics, and moving across the country from New York to Seattle. Ruth's parents want her to be a perfect student like her Stanford-bound brother, but all she wants is an out. She’s about to get her chance. A new law meant to limit far-right extremism backfires, and revenge-hungry militias organize violent occupations on the West Coast. A counter-protest movement takes shape in Seattle, and Ruth, desperate for a purpose not tied to school, signs up. She joins up with a group of teens, but their pasts catch up to them and the group starts to unravel. It’s hard to fight for a better world when you’re fighting with each other -- and with yourself.
