Acerca del libro
One thing I try to do when I am out and about is to pay attention to where I am. But even then, I often get distracted by things going on right down there in front of me. It might be the pattern of the floor tiles or carpeting or the color and textures I see in a patched street repair. And when I want to remember the details, I photograph them.
Recently, I organized some photos I took of what was going on ‘down under’ and turned them into what I can best describe as kaleidoscopic shape-shifters, where the original subjects of the photos disappeared into an unexpected but mesmerizing display of patterns and symmetry.
Who could guess that looking down could be so surprisingly reimagined? You can see some of these reimagined designs in the following pages.
Enjoy.

As an artist for over forty odd years, my biggest gig so far has been as the official White House Portraitist. During the past two years, I have had the privilege of painting our DearLeader over a couple dozen times looking his authoritarian best in all kinds of remarkable settings. And now, after much anticipation, I have finally assembled those paintings into a 48 page full-color book that includes personal commentaries, as well. It has been truly an inspiration to be so close and present with the man with the golden touch, who in every sense of the phrase, is Making America Great Again.
