This is the story of my family, and a universal tale. It is a love story and a story of persecutions and pogroms, a kidnapping, an encounter with Rasputin, crossing borders while hiding from officials, separations from loved ones, resistance to the Nazi regime, mass genocides, death in a steel mill, traditions broken, and new traditions created.
