Glyn Jones began studying the Martial Arts as a young boy under the guidance of his father in the Japanese arts of Judo and Ju Jutsu. At the age of thirteen years he also started training in Karate under the well renowned and no-nonsense Karate teacher Cyril Cummins Sensei of the Japan Karate Association. He advanced on to achieve black belt dan grades in each of these three Martial Arts. Glyn directly received both his 4th and 5th dan grades in Karate from masters at Japans most prestigious martial arts authority: The Dai Nippon Butoku Kai, in Kyoto, Japan. Together with then going on to achieve his 6th Dan in Goju Ryu Karate on the island of Okinawa, Japan. He is presently a Nanadan - Kyoshi, in Ryusyokai Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate. To date Glyn continues to practice, research, and teach Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate and elements of Ti. As passed on to him by his teacher, Shigetoshi Senaha Sensei 9th Dan, together with other senior teachers on Okinawa including Tamaki & East Sensei's.
