This is the story of Grace Pearl Cady as told through her writings and the added writings of her son based on her journals and the remembrances of family members. Beginning her journey in Hazard, Nebraska, in 1905, Grace lived a most remarkable life that offers a unique view of rural America in the early 1900s, coming of age in the 1920s, the hardships of the Great Depression, and the personal tragedies of a single mother in the 1950s.
