Acerca del libro
The Evocative Mark Twain Inspires the Printmakers’ Network of Southern New England is a catalog of an exhibition of 58 fine art prints by 18 contemporary New England printmakers. The exhibition was held at the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, CT from March 24, 2022 to January 23, 2023. Each artist selected authentic quotes of Mark Twain and responded creatively, producing images that referenced Twain’s keen observations of the world he lived in, including themes of travel, nature, social ills, and the follies of human behavior.
Since its inception, PNSNE members have advocated for regional artists working with the transferred image in both traditional and contemporary techniques and have facilitated opportunities to foster knowledge of the fine art of printmaking through exhibitions in regional museums and galleries, and lectures, demonstrations, and workshops offered to both youth and adult audiences.
