Acerca del libro
Volume 1 covers the early years of Panzer IV production. From its pre war inception through the initial campaigns of WWII (Poland, France and the Low Countries, the Balkans and Russia).
Many more images are available from the successful Blitzkrieg when soldiers, encouraged to carry cameras were keen to record their victories. Even so this is probably the largest collection of early PzIV photographs published under the same cover. Certainly this many original images of the Ausf A have not been seen together in the same publication. The book includes 44 images of the Ausf A, 25 Ausf C and 56 Ausf C within a total of 129 photographs. A type of tyre specific to Ausf A are revealed for the first time and images of Ausf B and C throw doubt over the current designation of Ausfs in relation to auxiliary exhaust lengths.
There is no table of changes in this volume instead a comprehensive table covering changes on all short barreled versions will be published in Volume 2.
All these photographs are from my own collection and the vast majority are published for the first time.

Acerca del creador
This series of books (PzKpfwIV at the front: from 8wheels-good Publishing) is an exploration of the development of the PzIV, the only tank to be in uninterrupted mass production for front line service from the first to the last day of WWII. They are made up entirely from images of my own original photographs that I have collected over the last 10 years. The small profit made on each book will be put back into enlarging and preserving the collection so more titles can be added and images shared. Each volume contains fully captioned images, tables where appropriate and details from the reverse of the photographs. The tables are a collection of dates from all the main references available, existing museum vehicles and photographs which can be dated. They are born from my own frustration of endless trips to the books case to cross reference different sources and the wish to create a one stop reminder. I hope that they will be appealing to historians, wargamers and modelers alike.
