Hieronymus Bosch has always been one of my favorite artists because of the fantastic, weird worlds he created within his pieces. The Garden of Earthly Delights is possibly his most famous work. There are many other books and websites dedicated to explaining Bosch and this piece. I created this book to provide a purely visual experience of his work, and curated the pages to walk the viewer through this strange, monumental painting. To look at a piece like this in a museum, one can never get close enough to see the detail, and there are always people lined up behind, waiting for their turn. This book offers the kind of interaction I wish was possible at a museum--slow and intimate. Take your time and journey through the weirdness and beauty of “The Garden.”
