Acerca del libro
A friend inspired me to post a photograph on Instagram every day for one year.
I decided to commence the project focusing on my primary interests in photography are travel, wildlife and my garden. Being locked down most of the year meant I had to use archival photos for many of the posts. Fortunately I was also working on a separate project involving flowers from my perennial garden using a macro lens. These magnified photos depict parts of the flowers that may be overlooked by the naked eye.
Posting a photograph every day beginning January 4, 2020 was more time consuming than I initially anticipated but in the end I was thankful for the opportunity to review older travel photos and further develop the flower project. In the midst of this chaotic year it was wonderful to have a way to stay focused.

My fascination with images began with a career in Diagnostic Radiology. Upon retirement, stepping out of the reading room into the digital world of photography was a natural evolution. My focus inevitably segued to another life-long passion — flowers, especially perennials. Using a macro lens, I explored the mysteries of floral anatomy unnoticed by the naked eye. Once enlarged, the wonder of the reproductive, pollinating parts of blooms bursts into view.
