Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. They live in every corner of the world, and they perform heroic acts on a near daily basis, often without being acknowledged as the heroes they truly are. While “superheroes” are mythologized in stories that are passed down through generations, heroes are the real people who inspire change in our lives for the better. In fact, they are no different from you or me.

This anthology celebrates the heroes in the lives of only a handful of people in our community, but it is the hope that these stories and illustrations inspire you to celebrate the heroes in your life too. Let’s hear it for all of the heroes in our world. Let’s hear it for every person working to make our lives better through their actions.
