SECOND EDITION
"And there, satisfied, the fig has made me feel whole again."
--
Clementine over roses is a debut poetry chapbook that tells a vivid story- not through words but through the spaces between them. It contains five brilliantly painted sections filled with over 50 poems of selected poetry. Clementine over roses stitches together the mundane and seemingly trivial tasks to sculpt a stunning landscape. With a cheeky, mournful, and dynamic tongue, Mehta braves a world through the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic while simultaneously exploring the intersection of society, youth, and corruption.
Clementine over roses is best read at dusk with flavorful bubble bath and copious amounts of French bread.
